Halo Risk

Halo Risk is an independent Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) consultancy founded by Kat Rae, helping organisations build proportionate GRC frameworks and capability to operate with confidence and grow sustainably.

With deep experience across financial services, Halo works with organisations at different stages of maturity, from designing and implementing GRC frameworks through to strengthening existing governance, oversight and regulatory arrangements.

Halo's work includes Board advisory, Risk Committee support, designing and embedding GRC frameworks, gap analysis, RCSAs, risk appetite, Board reporting, Consumer Duty, SM&CR and wider regulatory change. Engagements range from targeted reviews and framework development through to ongoing fractional risk support and managed services.

The emphasis is practical and proportionate. Halo works alongside Boards, senior management and teams to build approaches that embed into the day-to-day running of the business, with mentoring and knowledge transfer built in.

Halo Risk uses Initia as the underlying technology platform for its white-labelled risk management service.

Halo retains the client relationship and delivers the managed service, providing its own risk frameworks, methodology, ongoing oversight and risk expertise around the technology. Initia provides the underlying technology platform and product support.

This combines Halo's risk expertise and hands-on managed service with technology that provides a structured and scalable way of managing risks, controls, issues and actions, while supporting effective management and Board reporting.

The relationship between Halo Risk and Initia is public, while Halo's individual client relationships remain confidential.
